Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat on Tuesday said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute can only guarantee solution of all other problems which Indo-Pak countries are facing.
According to a statement issued to KNS, Zaffer, who visited several villages of Beeru Budgam including Chewdara, Razwen, Makhama while addressing gathering said that Kashmir is the main reason for the confrontation prevailing on borders between the two nuclear countries. “India and Pakistan can’t afford to resolve the bilateral disputes without resolving Kashmir dispute as everything stems from Kashmir,” Zaffer said, adding military solution to Kashmir dispute is impossible as both the countries posses’ nukes.
He castigated international community for maintaining silence over the border confrontation which is killing common Kashmiris on both the sides. “World community must play its role and stop the ongoing bloodshed on borders. It is a common Kashmiri who suffers the most due to this confrontation. Our people are being killed and our people residing on both sides are being forced to leave their houses,” Zaffer said.
He said that as long as Kashmir dispute remains unresolved, Indo-Pak countries can’t move a bit ahead neither can improve bilateral ties.
Asking Indo-Pak countries to resolve the Kashmir dispute through meaningful tripartite talks, Zaffer said that India’s frustrated Kashmir policy has endangered peace and stability of the south Asian region. “Because of India’s frustrated Kashmir policy, purposed NSA level talks got cancelled, had India allowed the talks to happen new windows would have opened,” he opined.
Zaffer Akbar Bhat during the visit to aforesaid villages paid glowing tributes to martyrs and wowed to take their sacred mission to its logical conclusion.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe remembered the great martyrs of the village Chewdara including Shaheed Molvi Feroz, Farooq Ahmad, Ali Mohd Khan, Bilal Habshi and Peer Delshad and paid rich tributes to them. He met the families of martyrs and assured them that sacrifices of martyrs will not go in vain.
He said that Kashmiris will not accept any out of box solution but will continue to fight for right to self determination. “Implementation of UN resolutions guaranteeing us ‘right to self determination’ can only resolve the Kashmir dispute,” he said.
He also condemned the harassment to common Kashmiris by the security forces in far off areas of valley. Zaffar also condemn the re arrest of Hurriat leader Masrat aalam Bhat and demand his release. Meanwhile, Zaffer Akbar Bhat along with party leaders including Skinder Ahmad, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Abdul Qayoom and Beg Aijaz visited the medical camp organized by Al-Jabbar foundation in the village.
Hundreads of people including men and women availed the free medical facilities and free medicines from the camp. A team of doctors comprising Dr Ifran, Dr Abdul Majeed, Dr Illahie and others gave free medical counseling to villagers. Villagers hailed the efforts of salvation Movement and Al-Jabbar foundation for organizing medical camp in the village in which trust distributed lakhs worth medicines among the poor and needy people including children.
Zaffer Akbar Bhat thanked the organizers of the medical camp and Al-Jabbar foundation and said that due to India’s military aggression majority of the population of Jammu and Kashmir is the victim of depression so Pro-freedom leadership is bound to take care of the health of naïve Kashmiris. (KNS)
