SOG man injured after his service riffle goes off accidently in Sopore

Sopore, Dec 10 (KNS): An SOG man was injured critically on Thursday after his service rifle went off accidently in Sopore area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

According to reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS), amid fifth phase of DDC polls across Jammu and Kashmir a Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel who was on election duty in Tujjar village of Sopore was critically injured when his service rifle went off accidentally.

The injured soldier who was identified as Mohammad Ashraf of SOG Wadora camp, was immediately rushed to nearby hospital for advanced treatment where his condition is said to be out of danger.

A senior police offcial told KNS that the injured SOG man suffered knee injury after his service rifle went off unintentionally. "The injured policeman was deputed on election duty in Tujjer Sopore", he added. (KNS)
