Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): The Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Monday was closed for all sorst of traffic due to snowfall on both the sides of Jawahar tunnel,
The traffic official told KNS that with continuous snowfall being witnessed from Jawahar Tunnel upto Magarkot, Ramsu since last night. National Highway has been locked.
Earlier on Sunday the traffic police department issued plan for passenger traveling on national highway and advised them to confirm weather and road condition before leaving.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Commuters intending to travel between Srinagar and Jammu on 16.01.2017 are advised to check the weather and road condition before starting their journey.” Traffic police official plan readout.
Till last this morning, the clearance process also going on side by side. No sliding has taken place upto Sherbibi over night. Traffic officials told that no sliding has taken place in Sherbibi Ramsu stretch as well. Four inches of Snow accumulated as of now. (KNS)
