Srinagar, Jan 05 : (KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday hailed the administration for gearing up well on time to ensure better facility to the people amid heavy snowfall in Kashmir. However, the party said that the administration must take further elaborate measures to ensure adequate electricity, other basic facilities to the people during the prevalent weather conditions.

BJP General Secretary (Organization), Ashok Koul said that it is good to see administration on toes amid the fresh snowfall, but there is a need to do much more for the people to put an end to their sufferings during the prevalent harsh winter conditions.

He said BJP has also established a helpline number +916006800034 for the people amid present weather conditions where a number of issues being faced by the people were redressed.

Pertinently, Koul is presently in Kashmir and stayed at office for three consecutive days where he is personally receiving the grievances of the public and subsequently talking with the officials concerned for redressal.

Meanwhile, Media In-charge Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat said that the grievances received at the office were redressed on the spot. “We got a number of grievances in the past three days like transformer damage, snow clearance and other related things. All these grievances were redressed on the spot,” he said. (KNS)
