Srinagar, Jan 25 (KNS): The fresh snowfall in the Valley has damaged two residential houses in Ladoora village of Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s in Baramulla district.
According to KNS correspondent, Iqbal Amin, the houses of Ghulam Mohammad son of Muhammad Subhan Dar and Muhammad Haneef and Ghulam Muhammad, sons of Sanaullah Ahmad were partially damaged.
Tehsildar Watergam, Sajad Ahmad while confirming the incident said, “The affected families have been safely evacuated. Our first priority is to safeguard the common masses.”
Meanwhile, according to KNS correspondent, another residential house got damaged after a Chinar tree fell on its roof in Gooripora Bomai area of Zangair Sopore. The house owner according to KNS correspondent was identified as Haji Mohd Maqbool Mir.
Besides, a roof top of a poultry farm got collapsed, which was belonging to Ab Hamid Malik, resident of Achabal Rafiabad.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, according to KNS correspondent from Langate, one house including three shops belonging to Ghulam Hassan Ganie got damaged in Gana pora area of Langate.
Meanwhile, witnesses said that all the roads are currently blocked due to the heavy snowfall in the area while most of villages in north Kashmir are reeling under darkness from last evening.
The villages said that they are facing acute water scarcity but unfortunately the authorities are acting as mute spectators.
They said that with the shortage of basic facilities, they are facing tremendous hardships.
They later appealed the higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest. (KNS)
