Srinagar, Sept 10 (KNS): The Srinagar Municipal Corporation has called for a meeting of executive committee under the chairmanship of SMC Mayor on 16 September in the meeting hall of Mayor.

In a letter, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS) states that the Executive Committee meeting of Srinagar Municipal Corporation has been scheduled on 16th September at 11:00 A.M, in the meeting Hall of Mayor. 

“The meeting will be chaired by Mayor Srinagar. The agenda of the meeting shall include: Door to Door Collection of Solid Waste in Srinagar City. Biomining of legacy waste and development of Cell 4 at Achan Site. Maintenance, Repair and works of the roads newly transferred to SMC. City Development Programme,” it reads.

The letter reads that agenda will include progress of different works being executed by SMC. Snow Clearance in the upcoming winter season. Discussion regarding increasing the revenues of corporation including property tax etc. Confirmation of Animal Birth Control and Anti Rabies Vaccination Programme.”

“Confirmation of procurement of Uniform and protective gear for the sanitation staff. Anti-Polythene Campaign. Repair of burnt quarters at the leper colony. Utilisation of savings and approval of works proposed against savings in different works programs and proposals for emergent public demands to be sent to the administrative department. Welfare of safai karamcharis. Storm Water Drainage Scheme Shalteng. Land Acquisition for dewatering stations. Purchase of Inspection vehicles Proposal for increasing honorarium of Hon. corporators of SMC. Other matters with the permission of chair,” it reads. (KNS)
