SMC Holds AI-Based Dental Screening Camp for Employees

Srinagar, Dec 27 (KNS): The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Friday organised an AI-robot–based dental screening camp at its Head Office in Karan Nagar in collaboration with Safe Hands Dental Centre, Baghat, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote employee welfare and preventive healthcare.

The camp was inaugurated by SMC Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb, IAS, and witnessed active participation from officers and staff of various wings of the Corporation. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about oral hygiene, ensure early detection of dental problems, and encourage preventive healthcare, with special focus on sanitation workers and frontline staff.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Fauzia Habib, Health Officer, SMC, whose coordination and planning ensured the smooth conduct of the camp. A team of specialist dental doctors and trained paramedical staff from Safe Hands Dental Centre carried out detailed dental check-ups using advanced AI-enabled screening technology, allowing accurate diagnosis and timely medical advice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Dr. Teikka Abdul Rashid, Head of Safe Hands Dental Centre, coordinated the medical team and briefed participants about the importance of regular dental care.

The SMC Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Health Department and the medical team, describing the camp as a progressive step towards employee-focused healthcare. He reiterated that the Corporation remains committed to organising similar technology-driven health programmes in the future.

Senior officials, including Joint Commissioners Nuzhat Qureshi, JKAS, and Suhail Ul Islam, JKAS, along with other officers, were present and also availed themselves of the screening facilities.
