Srinagar, Mar 23 (KNS): Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali on Monday while speaking to Media Persons said SMC is covering all the essential service locations declared as per Government including hospitals, banks, Ration depos, etc that will remain open, for sterilization and chemical spraying drives.

A special squad today covered various hospitals in the city including LD Hospital, CD hospital, SKIMS, GB Panth , Bone and Joints Hospital, SMHS. SMC is also conducting continuous sterilization drives at designated quarantines besides this, a fully equipped special team is in a mode of readiness to expand the said drives at all those locations that shall be designated as quarantine homes.

Gazanfar Ali has extended gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor who after discussing regarding shortage of Man power in SMC has agreed to go for outsourcing of man power in order to tackle the current situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Regarding garbage lifting Commissioner has sought cooperation from the citizens of Srinagar to retain garbage until SMC sanitary worker does not approach them for the collection of waste as the entire nation is going through tough time and throwing away garbage in open and littering will only aggravate the problem.

Regarding sanitation of Airport Ali has earlier stated that SMC is in full swing to conduct constant sterilization drives in and around airport and the belongings of passengers along with the SRTC buses and Ambulances stationed at Airport are continuously undergoing sterilization drives and also the quarantines where the people are taken are pre and post sanitized.
