SMC Boosts Hygiene in Srinagar with Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Initiative

 Srinagar, Mar 10(KNS): The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) carried out an impactful cleanliness drive on Sunday in Zone East Ward No. 18 as part of the ongoing "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" campaign. 

 
The initiative, covering the area from Jehlum Bund Cement Kadal to Safakadal, was focused on elevating cleanliness standards and promoting hygiene in these specific zone of the city.
 
Under the Supervision of the Chief Sanitation Officer, along with Zonal Sanitation Officers and other SMC officials, the drive enhanced the overall cleanliness and visual appeal of the designated area. 
 
Key activities included the efficient collection and disposal of waste, as well as the clearing of unwanted vegetation and grass.
 
The primary goal of such initiatives by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation is to establish a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents, thereby contributing to the advancement and welfare of the city as a whole. By actively involving the community in cleanliness endeavors, the SMC aims to instill a sense of civic duty among citizens and encourage the adoption of sustainable and hygienic practices.(KNS).
