Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Monday decided to observe the 22nd martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq on 16th December.
In a statement to KNS, a party spokesman paid glowing tributes to the great martyr who laid down his precious life for the ongoing freedom struggle and said that party will arrange a special function to observe the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq on 16th December at martyrs graveyard Eidgah ,Srinagar.
Meanwhile, party chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat visited several areas of Srinagar city including Bag-e-Mehtab, Nowgam,Natipora and Bemina. Bhat on the occasion met several delegations and praised them about the prevailing political situation viz-a-viz Kashmir issue.Zaffar paid tributes to Shamsul Haq,Jamal Afgani,Bhat Usman and other martyrs of Kashmir and retreated that we will continue freedom struggle till its logical end

A high level delegation today comprising Irshad Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad and Imtiyaz Ahmad visited Gusriyal Kupwara and expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of mother of Peer Rehmat-ul-alah Shah who is imprisoned at Bihar Jail. Delegation expressed sympathy with the family and said that Hajira mother of Peer Rehmat-ul-alah Shah died because of his son’s imprisonment.
“She (deceased) was undergoing through trauma because of his son imprisonment. She left this world while waiting for his son but Indian authorities never allowed his son to meet her,” they said.
Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat also expressed grief and sorrow over the death of mother of Peer Rehmat-ul-alah Shah and said that such incidents should serve any eye opener for the world community.
Meanwhile womens wing of salvation movement led by Ruqaya Bhaji condemn the arrest of minors and innocents and demand release of all kashmiri innocent youths. (KNS)
