Srinagar, Aug 08 (KNS): Employees Association SKIMS on Wednesday hailed the decisions taken during the governing body meet of the institute chaired by Governor NN Vohra recently, terming them vital for ensuring quality healthcare at large.
In a statement issued to KNS, the association President G.M Pandith stated that the decisions for the overall growth of the institute taken during Governing body meet will go in a long way to ensure quality health care at the valley’s premier health institution.

He added that from the immediate utilisation for funds for construction of State Cancer Institute and Cath Lab at SKIMS besides regularization of 179 Casual Workers who fulfill the norms are the decisions that are historic in nature and institute director Dr Omar Javaid Shah needs to be hailed for his exemplary and earnest leadership that is taking the institute to new heights of growth and development.
The association stated further that it is hopeful that under the command of Director SKIMS, the institute will scan new horizons and it becoming the centre of quality healthcare is now a subtly becoming a reality. (KNS)
