Kashmir's exclusive international conference centre is abuzz with activities hosting all kinds of events, conferences which have participation from other states of the country and across the globe, said spokesman of Sher-i-Kashmir international Conference Centre (SKICC).
In a statement issued to KNS, the spokesman said the recent one was Global Kashmir conclave an effort to promote Kashmir as a global brand which was attended by lot of foreign delegates.
“Today the Department of nephrology and renal pathology, Mayo Clinic Rochester, USA and TIFiN (Tajamul’s international friends in nephrology) organised an international nephrology meet in memory of Shehzore Kashmiri which was attended by world famous nephrologists, Stephen Textor, Sanjeev Sethi, Deborrah Clegg, Biff Palmer, Ripudamanjeet Singh, Fernando Fervanza from Mayo clinic USA and An De Vriese from Belgium .The delegates cherished the Kashmiri cuisine and appreciated the conference,” he said.

The secretary Tourism, Farooq A Shah, while commenting on the potential of conference tourism said that CM is aware and very keen to utilise the conference tourism potential of Kashmir. “We will ensure to establish it as the best in the country for Mice Tourism,” the secretary said adding that Pahalgam club will be inaugurated soon which has conference facility for 200 delegates at a time and similarly Gulmarg club has also such facility. “Besides this in Gulmarg Govt will soon start work on a project with special focus on conference tourism, this is in addition to the conference facilities available in the private sector for smaller gatherings,” he said.
