SIU attaches house of accused involved in militant activities in Anantang

Anantnag, Mar 13 (KNS): Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on Monday attached house of one accused involved in Militant activities in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.


The SIU in a statement said that it in presence of Executive Megistrate attached the house of one accused namely Mohd Ishaq Malik son of Mohd Saifullah Malik of Dhanwetehpora Kokernag who was allegedly involved in the terrorist activities was attached by the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Anantnag under section 25 UAP Act. It said that the accused is involved in case FIR No. 103/2022 U/S 307 IPC, 7/27 Arms Act 18,20,23,38 UAP Act of Police station Kokernag. The accused is presently lodged in District Jail Anantnag, it said.

"SIU went to the specific location under a posse of security men and passed the notice on the house in the presence of Local Sarpanches, Panches and Chowkidars," it said, adding that according to the notice, the owner of the house have been restrained to 'transfer, lease out, dispose off, change its nature or deal with the said property in any manner without the permission of designated authority.(KNS)
