In a first, addresses CRPF’s 83rd Raising Day in Jammu

Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNS): Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on Saturday said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir ever since Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister of the country and that security have achieved success in controlling the militancy here. 

 
Shah, while addressing CRPF’s 83rd Raising Day in Jammu, said that the biggest achievement in Jammu and Kashmir is that the security forces have been able to successfully control the militancy particularly after abrogation of Article 370.
 
He said that the CRPF has done work of providing a “sense of safety and security” to the people in India for a long time. “The CRPF jawans have given a sigh of relief to people in difficult situations in the country.”
 
Shah also lauded the CRPF for playing an important role in carrying out peaceful polls, which he described as the “festival of democracy.
 
“An election is a festival of democracy and a fair election is the soul of a democratic country,” said Shah.
 
He said that whenever there is Lok Sabha or assembly elections in India, the CRPF plays an important role in carrying out the polls peacefully across the country.
 
Shah also said that under the leadership of PM Modi, they have been able to bring situation immensely under control in J&K. (KNS)
