Says centre should refrain from the polarizing policy of dividing hindus and muslims and should restore the rights of people of JK

Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader Rouf Bhat on Wednesday said that SIT report is not a surprising thing for us. It is surprising only for those who live in dreams.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bhat said that What can we expect from a nation where Godse is welcomed and disrespecting the father of nation- Mahatma Gandhi.

The jobs and the lands of people of jammu and Kashmir are on sale. It was expected that the killers of innocent civilians of hyderpora encounter will be given a clean shit.

This situation is prevalent since 1947.In 1947 J&K had its own Prime Minister besides also own supreme court. BJP has snatched all these rights from us, he added.

He further said that On august 5th 2019 the most powerful and huge state of India was turned into a Union territory. The Chief Minsiter post for the state was abolished. The people have been deprived of all their rights since 1947. Local politicians are used by the centre and then thrown into dustbin after getting their motives fulfilled. It is a matter of concern and all the leaders of J&K should fight for the rights of people in order to save the future of the J&K.

We should unite against such nation where the constitutional laws have been ruined, where minorities are suppressed on the gun point. Our youth are killed and the Delhi government only gains votes by oppressing people with the power of gun, he said.

Bhat said that local journalists are harassed and jailed. The government takes no action against such incidents of violence over journalists but only action is taken upon the inncocent civilians of Kashmir.

The people of J&K has acceded with India only for its democratic principles and values instead of religious grounds. India was a democratic country where everyone has the right to speak and expresss their opinions. This kind of discrimination and injustice that our land and job rights are being snatched from the people was never expected from such a democratic nation, he added.

He further said that It is the responsibility of all the political leaders of J&K that they should unite for carrying out a political struggle for saving the rights of people of J&K.

He maintained that During the tenure of late Mufti Sahab, J&K had seen a peaceful dawn with doors of dialogue being open for solving the Kashmir issue.

If india wants to become a successful nation, then the centre should refrain from the polarization policy of dividing hindus and muslims and the rights of people of J&K should be restored, he said. (KNS)
