Sikh Society demands CBI probe into death of engineer in Baramulla

 Srinagar, Aug 29 (KNS): Chairman of Sikh Society of Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Damanjit Singh has expressed deep sorrow over the death of engineer Gurmeet Singh in Baramulla today and demanded a CBI inquiry.  

 
In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said that engineer Gurmeet Singh was missing since Friday and today his dead body was found and due to this the patriotic Sikh community living in Kashmir is in great shock. 
 
The statement claims that this is not the first time in Kashmir that Sikhs have been killed after missing.
 
He further said that, earlier in 2021 government teacher Narendra Kaur was also killed by terrorists and another Sikh Rajinder Singh Bali, who was working in Doordarshan was abducted in 2008 and Jagjit Singh Sodhi from Food Corporation of India department was also abducted in 2004.
 
He claimed that there is a lot of anger in the Sikh society of Jammu and Kashmir due to the death of Engineer Gurmeet Singh. (KNS)
