Srinagar, Dec 02 (KNS): A delegation of Sikhs met with Hurriyat Sikh leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Advocate Devinder Singh in Jammu on Friday.
While addressing the Sikh members, Sikh Hurriyat leader according to the statement issued to KNS strongly condemned the killing, blinding and maiming of innocent people at Kashmir Valley.
He said that “We appeal International community to press India and start peace talks with Pakistan without any further delay. In such peace talks they must involve the leadership of Kashmir.”
“Without involving the Kashmiri leadership in talks, peace cannot be established in south Asia,” he added.
Singh also gave message of its Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Shah Geelani to Sikh community of Jammu Kashmir that “we people always stand with our Sikhs brother in Jammu Kashmir and we people always appreciate the support of Sikh community to our Muslim brother in Jammu Kashmir State.”
He while quoting the Geelani as saying that “In this crucial time we people should aware of such kinds of elements which also try to destroy communal harmony and brotherhood for their cheap politics.”
Sikh Leader also appealed Human Rights Organizations to come forward and stop Human Rights violation in Jk, because everyday innocent people are being targeted, everyday political leaders and youth are being harassed and tortured and booked in black laws like PSA and other laws.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Political leaders and youth are being harassed and torched in jails and they were treated as criminal,” he said.
Singh also condemned the attack on Dalits.
Sikh Hurriyat leader also thanked Sikh community of Jammu Kashmir, in this crucial time Sikhs of Jammu Kashmir stands with their Muslim brothers in Kashmir and said that in future whole Sikh community will stand with their Kashmiri brothers.
Singh also said govt should resolve Jammu Kashmir issue as per as the wishes of the people of JK state.
While addressing the Sikh members a delegation member Kuljeet Singh appeal world community Amnesty international to come forward and start peace talks between two nuclear countries.
He also said govt should immigrate released political leader and youths from jails and withdraw cases against them.
Others who were present in the meeting were Kuljeet Singh, Mohinder Singh, Dilbagh Singh, Gurjeet singh, tarlochan Singh, jeet singh, surjeet Singh, Manpreet Singh, rajinder singh, Sukuinder sIngh, jatinder Singh, Mohan Singh, Baljeet Singh, Harpal Singh, and others. (KNS)
