Srinagar, July 18 (KNS): The State Investigation Agency (SIA) launched a series of raids on Monday across multiple locations in South Kashmir as part of its ongoing investigation into the murder of bank guard Sanjay Sharma, which occurred in February of this year.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), the raids are currently underway at numerous sites in Shopian, Kulgam, and Anantnag, in relation to FIR No 14/2023, which involves the killing of ATM guard Sanjay Sharma from Pulwama.

Search operations are taking place in Qaimoh Kulgam, Heff Shopian, Anantnag town, Goriwon Bijbehara, and other locations in South Kashmir.

The searches were conducted based on search warrants issued by the Special Court. The case initially fell under the jurisdiction of the Pulwama Police before being transferred to the SIA Kashmir for further investigation.(KNS).
