SIA Jammu attaches terrorist's ancestral property in J-K's Doda


Jammu, Dec 11 (KNS): The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu has attached immovable property belonging to Zahid Hussain, a registered Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorist, under court orders.

Hussain, son of Abdul Karim Wani and resident of Behota in Tehsil Marmat, District Doda, is wanted in connection with FIR No. 03/2022 of Police Station JIC Jammu. 

The attachment follows a proclamation issued under Sections 82 and 83 of the CrPC, as directed by the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, a designated court under Section 22 of the NIA Act.

On December 10, 2025, an SIA team conducted a physical inspection, identification, and attachment of the accused’s ancestral property at Village Mangota, District Doda.

During the proceedings, land measuring 1 Kanal and 16¼ Marlas, falling under Khewat numbers 130, 128, and 170, was identified as part of Hussain’s ancestral property share. A notice board declaring the property attached under Section 83 CrPC was formally installed at the site.

The entire operation was documented and photographed in compliance with legal requirements, and the records will be submitted to the competent court for further action.

The SIA said the move is part of ongoing efforts to attach properties of individuals involved in militancy and terrorism in the region.(KNS).
