Srinagar August 25 (KNS): State Investigation Agency today arrested an accused of militancy finding from IGI airport New Delhi after deported by Dubai authorities.
In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the State Investigation Agency (SIA)/CID CI Jammu has arrested an accused, Farooq Ahmed Naikoo @ Farooq Tendulkar @ Umar S/O Ghulam Hassan Naikoo R/O Mohalla Khawaja Sahib Barmulla, J&K from IGI Airport, New Delhi who is involved in case FIR No. 73/2022 of P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu (now under investigation with State Investigation Agency, Jammu). In the instant case, Jatinder Singh @ Babu Singh (Ex-Minister) has already been arrested, who has obtained terror funds brought one Mohd Sharief Shah of Kashmir for furthering the cause of separatism and for facilitating anti-India and Pro-Pak entities."
The statement also said "This is the 1st case of its type wherein a terror financier has been arrested after deportation from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai. The name of the accused has figured in various terror financing transactions during investigation of the instant case and further investigation regarding his role/involvement is being carried out by State Investigation Agency."(KNS)
