Srinagar, Sep 27(KNS): The State Investigation Agency (SIA) launched a series of raids in South Kashmir as part of their ongoing investigation into the tragic killing of bank guard Sanjay Sharma, which occurred back in February of this year.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that these search operations are currently in progress across several locations in South Kashmir, specifically pertaining to FIR No 14/2023 concerning the homicide of ATM guard Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Pulwama.

These extensive searches are being executed in various areas encompassing Shopian, Pulwama, and Anantnag districts within South Kashmir.

The official further said that these searches are being conducted in strict accordance with search warrants duly issued by the Special Court.

It's noteworthy that the investigation into the killing of Mr. Sharma initially commenced under the jurisdiction of Pulwama Police but was subsequently transferred to the purview of the State Investigation Agency (SIA).(KNS).
