Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNS): Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board on Tuesday appealed pilgrims to postpone their visit to holy shrine, amid Corona Virus pandemic.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a circular issued by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said, "In view of the emerging situation due to Corona Virus, Ramesh Kumar, CEO, SMVDSB reviewed all aspects related to yatra and the safety of pillgrims. Considering the spread of Corona Virus, the CEO appealed pilligrims to postpone their visit to the Holy Cave Shrine till normalization of the situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said all the pilligrims visiting the holy cave shrine have to fill self reporting form available at yatra registration counters, accomdation, helipad terminal of shrine. Further, they are required to pass through mandatory Thermal Image Scanning at Katra before proceeding for yatra.

Meanwhile, the Shrine Board has taken several other measures for ensuring safety of the piligrims which include curtailing of Atka Arti, closing of Garbhjoon Cave at Adhkuwari, restricting yatra in groups etc. (KNS)
