Salvation Movement Chairman, Zaffer Akbar Bhat Monday asked Center Government to shift Kashmiri political prisoners to valley on humanitarian grounds.
“Innocent Kashmiri political prisoners lodged in jails across India should be shifted back to Srinagar Central Jail on humanitarian grounds because scorching temperature is affected their health badly,” Zaffer said in a statement.
He demanded unconditional release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in various jails within and outside the territory who have completed their terms.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“This is a critical issue; our beloved lashing in Indian jails are suffering from diseases due to raisin temperature,” he said, while expressing concern over the “deteriorating” health of the detainees.
Zaffer also urged international rights groups to take notice of the “ill-treatment” meted out to prisoners and use their influence to ensure their release.
Meanwhile, Party spokesman condemned continued house detention of Zaffer and other pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
