Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): The Shia fraternity Friday held a demonstration here at Rainawari against Nigerian government for killing innocent Muslims in the country.
As soon as the Friday congregation ended in Rainawari Masjid, the shia community assembled outside of the Masjid and were holding banners displaying ‘Stop killing Muslims in Nigeria’.
The protesters were raising slogans against the Nigerian government and appealed UN to come forward over the issue.
While talking to KNS, a senior leader of shia community who was leading the protest here said that Nigerian Muslims are being targeted by their government as the Islam is spreading very rapidly in the country.
He said that the leader of the Islamic Movement, Ayatollah Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky who is trying hard to spread Islam in the country was attacked by the Army of Nigeria which killed scores of innocent Muslims and later arrested Ayatollah Zakzaky a few day ago, which is highly condemnable.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
