UDHAMPUR, JAN 24 (KNS) ; The Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) in Udhampur today observed National Voters' Day in accordance with directives from the Election Commission of India, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Police Headquarters.
The ceremony saw the participation of hundreds of police and prosecution officers and officials. Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh, Deputy Director of the SKPA, administered the National Voters' Day pledge to the assembled gathering.
Attendees included academy staff, Deputy Superintendent of Police probationers, Police Sub-Inspectors, and personnel from the All India Commando Competition team, which is currently undergoing training at the academy.

In taking the pledge, the officers and officials committed to voting fearlessly in every election, without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language, or any form of inducement. They further vowed to uphold the democratic traditions of the nation and preserve the dignity of free, fair, and peaceful elections.
National Voters' Day 2026 is being celebrated across the country under the theme, "My India, My Vote." (KNS)
