Srinagar Apr, 04 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir People's Conference youth president Sheikh Mohammad Imran on Monday requested LG Manoj Sinha to intervene in Nigeen lake fire incident in which seven houseboats got completely damaged.
"I request Honourable LG Manoj Sinha to kindly intervene in regards to the houseboats destroyed in the fire at Nigeen", Imran said as per the Kashmir News Service (KNS).
He also said that LAWDA should help the fire victims by instantly clearing the debris from the burnt houseboats and alloting permission for the reconstruction of the new ones.
Forest Department should provide fine wood for reconstruction at subsidised rates, Imran said adding that Bank should give loan waivers and soft loans for the reconstruction of the houseboats.
Imran further said that insurance claims if any should be processed promptly and Srinagar Smart City should help in rebuilding their surroundings as model houseboats.
Director tourism should frame a tourism incentive policy for houseboats and the directorate should be a single window for for all the necessary NOC's, he added. (KNS)
