Baramulla, Oct 02 (KNS): The residents of Sheeri village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are up in arms against the administration for failing to repair the drainage system in their area.
The residents especially shopkeepers of main market Sheeri said that the rain in the village is blocked from past several years while the administration including the Beacon authorities are turning their eyes blind towards the hardships being faced by the inhabitants here.

The villagers also said that the unrepaired drainage system has caused infectious diseases to them.
They further added that the locals especially the school going children are facing a lot of problems due to the bad smell in the drainage.
They appealed officials of district administration Baramulla and to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest so that the people here could feel a sigh of relief. (KNS)
