Sheep Husbandry Department organize awareness program at Karnah

Karnah March 24:(KNS) Kashmir News Service Department of Sheep Husbandry Karnah today organized an awareness camp at Sheep and wool development office karnah.
 
The said event was participated by DDC member Advocate Najma Hameed, BDC Rayaz Ahmad khoja block Tangdar and BDC Neshaada Parveen block teetwal,Sarpanches, Nambardars and breeders of the area participated in the camp. The resource persons namely Dr Qysir Gani wani SDO karnah and Dr Beigh Tariq Veterinary Surgeon karnah of the department briefed the general public about the importance of rearing sheep and goat, their management and disease control and scientific techniques for the enrichment of fodder.
 
Speaking to Kashmir News Service, KNS, Dr Beigh Tariq said the programme was aimed at boosting fodder production through introduction of hybrid maize seeds.
 
The resource persons also highlighted various schemes of the department. All the field staff of karnah also participated in the camp. 
 
In the end of the program, the PRI members demanded for the introduction of more schemes for farmers. 
 
Some of the public representatives also shared their views and expressed satisfaction for holding such an informative program.
 
They thanked Sheep Husbandry Department on behalf of the villagers for conducting such awareness camps in their areas and expected more such programs in the future for the upliftment and boom in economy to the poor community associated with the Sheep sector.(KNS)
