Jammu, Nov 08 (KNS): In the wake of heavy shelling across the borders of Rajouri-Poonch districts Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) Chief Spokesperson JKPCC has visited several extreme border villages Jhanger-Nowshera and took stock of the problems of people.
In a statement issued to KNS, Ravinder Sharma conducted tour of the area on extreme LOC like Lam, Pukharni, Sarya Seri, Makri, which fall ahead of the border fence near jhangar of Nowshera sector, facing intensive shelling during past few days.
While interacting with the local people, they apprised him about their difficulties and also appreciated the army and the local and District administration for extending necessary help but they sought certain urgent facilities at village level.
Sharma justified the demands of the residents about the need for ambulance at Seri-Makeri, Trenches/bunkers near their Mohallahs and schools etc besides concrete and community bunkers and provision of adequate scale of ration distribution in their village. Apart from this their demands for colony at safer places along with provision for construction of a single room accommodation and waivers of KCC Loans were also projected.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sharma demanded that other genuine demands be redressed without delay and the Govt. of India should fulfill the demands of safe shelters in the shape of Bunkers and border residents’ colony, as the earliest, as sufficient State/EP Land/ is available in safe areas in the tehsil- Nowshera. (KNS)
