Shaheen seeks judicial probe into death of two students

Seeking judicial probe into the circumstances leading to death of two minor students in Banihal due to intake of expired ‘iron tablets’, National Conference District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen has sought immediate stepping down of all those heading the key education ministry to enable free and impartial inquiry.
“This is criminal negligence, which speaks of the apathetic approach of PDP-BJP Government towards poor”, Shaheen said, while expressing solidarity with the families who lost their dear ones.
He condoled the tragic demise of two young students and prayed for peace to departed souls besides strength to their families to bear the irreparable loss.
Earlier, addressing party workers of Block Khari, the District President criticized the government for putting halt to developmental activities and showing scant concern towards the problems confronted to people, especially in respect of essentials and the utility services like power and drinking water.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said a crisis like situation is prevailing across the state, especially in rural, remote and backward areas due to performance inertia and lack of political direction to the administration. He said developmental projects stand neglected and the people feel even deprived of basic minimum necessities.
Shaheen also sought employment to local youth in the rail project and demanded immediate opening of Khari-Mahu road, which he said was closed for the past six months. (KNS)
