Shah welcomes Pak-US strategic dialogue meet

Pays tribute to three slain militants

Srinagar, Mar 3 (KNS): Welcoming the strategic dialogue meeting between Pakistan and US foreign secretaries at the State Department in Washington, the incarcerated Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah, on Thursday said though all issues are bound to get resolved through dialogue, it is India's stubborn attitude that proves impediment in resolving issues.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said India fakes to show concern over resolving of issues while in reality, it is always in search of finding a way-out from dialogue process by resorting to different pretexts.
He held India responsible for conflict and political uncertainty in the subcontinent, saying, India was never sincere in dialogue process.
Shah also reminded United Nations and the world community of their responsibilities towards Kashmir issue, saying, the long-standing dispute should be resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people which is to implement the UN resolutions that are pending in the Security Council of this world body.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Expressing satisfaction over the growing pro-Kashmir voices across Indian universities, Shabir Ahmad Shah said this should serve as an Eye-opener for India that justice-loving people are supporting the genuine cause of Kashmiris.
"India must read writing on the wall that pro-justice, pro-Afzal and pro-Kashmir voices are rising from its nook and corner as they have realised India has usurped the rights of Kashmiris and is spending much of its budget on defence purposes while the country continues to fight poverty. This awakening across India is a good omen for us and our freedom movement," Shah said.
Meanwhile, a DFP spokesperson paid tributes to martyrs of Dadsara, Tral, Asif Yousuf, Muhammad Ishaq Parray, and Muhammad Aashiq Hussain. A party delegation led by Javaid Ahmad and Manzoor Ahmad Tantray participated in the funeral prayers of martyrs. (KNS)
