Urging the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to pressurize India during the upcoming session in UN to resolve the Kashmir issue, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah said we’re hopeful that Pakistan will remain firm on its stand vis-à-vis Kashmir.“We’ve firm belief in Pakistan that it will continue to adopt strong position against India with regard to Kashmir issue and along with OIC highlight the importance of its resolution at all global forums,” Shah who continues to be under house arrest in a statement issued to media said.
In a statement to KNS, he said Pakistan has extended every possible support to our cause and expressed hope that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharrif during the upcoming UN session will raise support from world powers in favour of oppressed and subjugated Kashmiri nation. “No one in this world wants to resolve issues through mutual warfare or in battlefield. I reiterate my appeal to leadership of both India and Pakistan to resolve the long pending dispute of Kashmir by implementing the UN resolutions or trilateral talks – in better interest of establishment of peace in the subcontinent,” Shah asserted.
Shah also said the timely resistance against the recent court orders banning sale of beef in the state is “imperative” upon us.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Today, they banned beef which sheer interference in our religious affairs; tomorrow they will ban our prayers and prevent us from performing other religious obligations. So, I reiterate my appeal to sacrifice bovines on Eid as we’re only subject to following the commandments and order of only Almighty Allah.”Hailing the sacrifices of Mujahedeen and people with regard to freedom movement, Shah said our brave sons are sacrificing their precious lives for the greater cause and we’re duty bound to safeguard their sacrifices. He severely condemned the recent “barbaric” killing in Sopore and Pattan terming it “ethnic cleansing” and paid rich tributes to all the slain youths.
Shah also expressed serious concern over the deteriorating plight of prisoners in jails of Jammu, Kot Balwal, Rajasthan and Tihar. He said they (prisoners) are our ambassadors who are denied every basic right by Indian authorities.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah while remembering the 2010 martyrs of Khanabal, Islamabad - Maroof Ahmad Nath, Noor ul Amin Dagga and Bilal Ahmad Najar on their 5th anniversaries and Yasir Rafiq (Maisuma) paid glowing tributes to them and hailed their sacrifices towards the movement.(KNS)
