Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah completed 180 days of house detention this year and was also barred from offering Friday prayer.
In a statement issued to press, a DFP spokesperson said Shabir Ahmad Shah's continuous detention is a proof that state administration are not willing to allow pro-freedom leaders to perform their activities.
He reminded the Mufti Sayeed of how his party used to make his and cry over the arrest and restrictions on resistance leadership when it was in opposition.
"Now, after coming to power, Mufti forgot everything and he exploited the people through his hollow slogans made during elections," he said.
The spokesperson said the slogan of "battle of ideas" was the biggest deception of the Mufti-led government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said during the detention period, many of Shah's close relatives passed away and he was not allowed to attend their last rites. He severely criticised the government for its so-called claims of democracy.
On the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a DFP delegation visited the residence of BBC Urdu correspondent Riyaz Masroor and expressed condolence with him on demise of his father. The delegation also prayed for peace to the departed soul. (KNS)
