Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday paid tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Abdul Gani Lone, Hawal martyrs saying we are indebted to their invaluable sacrifices.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the Kashmiri nation is indebted to the sacrifices of these great martyrs and "no one will be allowed to play with these sacrifices".
He said the 'best and worst times' in freedom movements is natural but history is witness that the nation which remains steadfast and committed to its goal (of freedom) eventually succeeds.
Shah said the world cannot turn away its eyes from Kashmir issue and its people's legitimate struggle for right to self-determination for long but has to resolve it according to the wishes and aspirations of its people.
He said remembering these martyrs rejuvenates our pro-freedom spirit and strengthens our relation with martyrs saying the path of freedom is always filled with thorns and hardships.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The pro-freedom leader paid tributes to all martyrs including Shaheed Maqbool Bhat, Shaheed Afzal Guru, Shaheed Aijaz Dar, Shaheed Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed Dr Guru, Shaheed Dr Turabi, Dr Shaheed Maqbool Ilaahi, Shaheed Nadeem Pilot, Shaheed Nasir-ul-Islam, Shaheed Jaafar Jabali, Shaheed Shamsul Haq, Shaheed S Hameed, Shaheed Professor Waheed, Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Shaheed Jamal Afghani, and thousands of others.
Shah said if we have to fulfill the dream of our martyrs, we have to commit fully to the freedom movement and be ready to bear all the hardships in this regard.
Paying homage to Hawal martyrs, Shabir Ahmad Shah said such sacrifices are hard to be seen in history. (KNS)
