Srinagar, Nov 15 (KNS): Remembering the late editor of The Daily Srinagar Times Sofi Ghulam Mohammad on his 7th anniversary, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday paid tributes to him.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the late Sofi Sahib was a writer par excellence, versatile journalist, and a champion of objective journalism. “Late Sofi Sahib will always be remembered for his immense contribution in the literary and political circles,” he said.
Commenting on late editor’s services towards society, Shah said instead of eulogizing the authorities, late Sofi Sahib acted as a spokesperson of suppressed and downtrodden sections of the society and courageously fought for their cause.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shah said late Sofi Ghulam Mohammad’s 50-year journey in journalism was a time of struggle and he will always be remembered for his pro-people services.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah expressed deep grief over the sad and untimely demise of Zaffar Ahmad Trumboo’s young son Haseeb Ahmad Trumboo who passed away.
Shah expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for their forbearance.
Freeom Party’s Molvi Bashir Ahmad led-party delegation participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased and expressed condolence with the bereaved family. (KNS)
