Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Wednesday paid tributes to innocent civilians killed in Pathribal and Barakpora on their 17th anniversaries. The occupational forces killed five innocent civilians in Pathribal fake encounter and seven in Barakpora.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the memories of these gory incidents are still afresh in our minds and we can never forget such barbarism of Indian occupational forces. He said just before these killings, Indian forces carried out a heinous massacre of Sikhs in Chattisinghpora in which 35 innocent people were killed. “And those families still wait for justice.”
He said India made a failed attempt to defame the freedom movement of Kashmiris by perpetrating such bloody massacres on the arrival of the then US President Bill Clinton.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said though CBI confirmed that Indian forces were involved in these heinous crimes and provided evidence against them, not a single culprit has been brought to book.
“Indian agencies claimed of having killed militants in a gunfight but after their graves were opened, everything became crystal clear as the slain turned out to be civilians who were killed in a fake encounter,” he said.
Shah expressed solidarity with the families of massacre victims and demanded fair investigation into these killings by an independent agency."To trust upon Indian government and its agencies is out of question for us. The changing of DNA of Pathribal victims should be an eye-opener in this regard,” he said. (KNS)
