Srinagar, May 17 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Abdul Gani Lone, Hawal martyrs saying we are indebted to their invaluable sacrifices.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the Kashmiri nation is indebted to the sacrifices of these great martyrs and no one will be allowed to play with these sacrifices.
He said the ‘best and worst times’ in freedom movements is natural but history is witness that the nation which remains steadfast and committed to its goal (of freedom) eventually succeeds.
Shah said the world cannot turn away its eyes from Kashmir issue and its people's legitimate struggle for right to self-determination for long but has to resolve it according to the wishes and aspirations of its people.
He said remembering these martyrs rejuvenates"our pro-freedom spirit and strengthens our relation with martyrs saying the path of freedom is always filled with thorns and hardships.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"
Reiterating his stand over freedom movement, Shah said this path is full of hardships and the goal is achieved only after passing through difficult phases.
Paying glowing tributes to all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir's freedom movement, Shah said the invaluable sacrifices of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat, Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru, Shaheed Aijaz Dar, Shaheed Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed Dr Guru, Shaheed Dr Turabi, Shaheed Maqbool Elahi, Shaheed Nadeem Pilot, Shaheed Nasir Ul Islam, Shaheed Ja'afar Jabali, Shaheed S Hameed, Shaheed Shamsul Haq, Shaheed Prof Waheed, Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Shaheed Jamal Afghani, and thousands of our martyrs will not go in vain.
"We have to revere the sacrifices of our martyrs and always keep ourselves ready to pursue," he said.
Shah said the example of Indian occupational forces' brutality is hard to be found in history. "We have to continuously raise our voice against the barbarism of PSAs and pellets," Shah said. (KNS)
