Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman on Thursday Shabir Ahmad Shah paid glorious tributes to KH Khursheed on his 28th anniversary saying the late leader was a real patriot and real son the soil.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said, “Late K H Khursheed was a real patriot and a real son of soil. He was a selfless leader who dedicated his life to fight for his oppressed nation.”
Highlighting the role of KH Khursheed, Shabir Ahmad Shah said the late leader was active with freedom movement since his education days and in year 1944 as a general secretary to Quaid-e-Azam (RA), he played an active role in the freedom movement in the subcontinent.
“During that period he (KH Khursheed) laid foundation of Kashmir Students Federation and in collaboration with the like-minded youth started working for the freedom cause. Even Quaid-e-Azam (RA) testified it that he achieved Pakistan with the utmost and selfless and unrelenting role played by KH Khursheed,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“For his contribution to Kashmir freedom movement, KH Khursheed Sahab was chosen as President of Azad Kashmir in 1960 and during his tenure he contributed a lot towards the freedom struggle of Kashmiris which history will always remember,” Shah said and prayed for highest place in Jannah for the late leader.
Meanwhile, paying tributes to martyrs of Padgampora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Shah said it seems that since last few months, some hypocrites, present in our ranks, are providing information to anti-movement forces. “Such collaborators of India cannot be true to their faith. Mujahedeen are our shining stars,” he said.
Shah also expressed grief over the martyrdom of a teenager Amir Nazir Wani who was killed in forces’ firing on civilian population. He expressed solidarity with the families of those martyred. (KNS)
