Lauding the role of human rights bodies working for cases of enforced disappearances in the Valley, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has assured "full support" to such organizations.
Shah who continues to be under house arrest, in a statement to KNS, on Monday assured his full support to those organizations and individuals working for the collection of information related to the persons subjected to enforced disappearances during our freedom struggle,"

Rest, our unflinching support goes to all working for the cause."
Shah said though we commemorate the day in favor of the disappeared persons annually, we've to organise more such events and programs in order to garner maximum support of international community and to exert pressure on India. "The presence of more than 7000 unmarked graves in nook and corner of the Valley is an eye-opener for world nations and the criminal silence adopted by them in this regard is unfortunate. Shah expressed disappointment that despite court orders no DNA tests were carried out of those buried in unmarked graves and demanded investigation of this issue by an independent international agency. Meanwhile, expressing strong anger and resentment over police brutality and highhandedness in Shaher-e-Khaas, Shabir Ahmad Shah said the police is crossing limits now as they resort to very mean methods while carrying out arrests, which is totally unacceptable. "The police is trying to become more loyal than king. They (Police) should realize that they're part of the society and they've to live and die among their people."
Shah also severely condemned the use of pellet guns by police. (KNS)
