Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday hailed the farewell speech of former Army Chief of Pakistan General Raheel Sharif in which he said that peace in the region cannot be achieved without resolving the Kashmir dispute and also called on world community to play their role in this regard.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah expressed delight over the speech of General Raheel Sharif and said the unanimous stand adopted by all the political parties of Pakistan regarding Kashmir is very encouraging.
Shah said General Raheel Sharif during his tenure worked a lot vis a vis Kashmir and hoped that the new Army Chief will follow the suit.
Shah said the unflinching support of political, social, religious, and every section of Pakistani society is an asset for the oppressed Kashmiris. He said Pakistan as a prime party to the Kashmir dispute is playing a commendable role towards its resolution.
Hailing the role of General Raheel Sharif, Shah said Pakistan emerged victorious on diplomatic front in highlighting the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir across the world following which India staged a drama of surgical strikes as it suffered global humiliation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said same drama is enacted by India on LoC in order to divert the world attention from its oppression in held Kashmir.
Shah expressed hope that the new Army Chief will support the oppressed Kashmiris the same way as General Raheel Sharif did. He said the world must take cognizance of Pakistan's concern over Kashmir and should send a fact finding mission to the disputed territory.
He said the Muslim world on one hand is facing the challenge from Zionists and on other India and its collaborators are on agenda to strengthen the occupation in Jammu Kashmir.
Shah expressed hope that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will continue to support the oppressed Kashmiris in future. (KNS)
