Extending his heartfelt felicitations to the nation of Pakistan on its Independence Day, Jammu Kashmir's pro-freedom leader and Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah said the Islamic Republic "enjoys a greater significant position in the Muslim World," and termed Pakistan as "backbone of Muslim Ummah."Felicitating the Government of Pakistan, its people, civil society, political, social, religious and military leadership on Pakistan Day, Shabir Ahmad Shah, during his continuous house arrest, said Pakistan is the "lasting hope" of Muslim Ummah and a "caretaker for all the oppressed and subjugated Muslims across the world." Commenting over the changing global political scenario, Shah said the Muslim countries of the world are "duty-bound" to "secure the interests of Pakistan" and "rise to the protection and security of this nation, keeping in view its centrality and vital role it's playing as a Muslim nation. ""Due to its stand on truth, the country fell to so many internal and external conspiracies of which 'Fall of Dhaka' was an open example. It's imperative upon Muslim nations to, instead of getting divided and disintegrated, unite under the banner of Islamic Republic of Pakistan," Shah said. Terming Pakistan as "vision of Allama Iqbal" and "dream of Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah", Shabir Ahmad Shah said the nation always raised voice in favor of oppressed and subjugated Muslims across the world and the undeterred role it played with regard to Kashmiris' fight for self-determination is hidden from none.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"Pakistan's unflinching support to Kashmiris on political, moral and diplomatic fronts is laudable and we hope that it will continue to support us with same spirit and steadfastness. We're proud of having a nation like Pakistan as our well-wisher," he said.
Paying glorious tributes to martyred Lashkar-e-Toyiba mujahedeen of Pulwama Shaheed Showkat Ahmad Lone and Shaheed Shaheen Gulzar, Shah though we're grieved at their loss, it's a sign of a living nation that its people continue to sacrifice their precious lives for the sake of honor and dignity of nation. Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, DFP Chairman said, "We're bound to take the mission of these martyrs to its logical conclusion and will not allow anyone to play with their sacred blood. "He severely condemned the forces' arbitrary action against civilians in which a youth Bilal Ahmad Bhat (Malangpora) was "deliberately targetted" and killed. He also rejected the government ordered probe into the killing, terming it eye-wash "aimed at pacifying the public anger and shielding the culprits. "Meanwhile, on the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation led by Bashir Ahmad Gattoo participated in the funeral prayers of Bilal Ahmad Bhat and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.
Shah also expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to accident at Sadhna Top and extended solidarity with the bereaved families. (KNS)
