Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Strongly reacting against the brutal assault on women folk in Bandipora by Army wherein many others were critically injured after beaten, the incarcerated Chairman Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah said the forces are unleashing a reign of terror upon common people at the behest of state rulers.
He expressed deep grief over the attack on women in Bandipora, saying the brutal armed forces don't even spare the women.
In a statement to KNS, Shabir Ahmad Shah said the so-called rulers of state have did their conscience to New Delhi and that is why they don't feel any guilt or shame in unleashing reign of terror on people, choking their genuine voices and making them victims of bullets and lethal weapons.
Vehemently criticizing the government, Shah said all their claims of democracy, freedom of speech and expression are hollow while as the reality is that there is complete ban on freedom of speech and the democratic claims are confined to papers only. He said the head of state administration is doing all this to please his masters in Delhi and that is why he has transferred his powers to police and forces and has put the real leadership of state behind bars.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shah expressed solidarity with the victims of Bandipora assault and appealed people to unite against the tyrant rulers and forces of the state. He said we are committed to our goal of freedom and will continue our struggle till it is taken to the logical end.
Meanwhile, Shah paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Aali Kadal which include Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Advocate Jameel Chowdhary, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Note, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Ahmad, on their 23rd anniversary. He said our hearts still remember these martyrs and we are indebted to their sacrifices. Praying in favor of these martyrs, Shabir Ahmad Shah said that Sheikh Abdul Hameed and his associates sacrificed their lives for a greater cause. He reiterated the pledge of taking the mission of martyrs to our logical conclusion. (KNS)
