Appealing people to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with utmost simplicity and austerity, the Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah said we must not forget to include the needy and deserving people in our celebrations.
“Keeping in view the circumstances with regard to our ongoing freedom movement, the situation demands we celebrate the festival of Eid with sincerity and simplicity as the message of Eid-ul-Azha itself is of ‘sacrifice’,” Shabir Ahmad Shah who continues to be under house arrest in a statement to KNS said.
Terming the message of Eid-ul-Azha as epitome of great sacrifice, Shah said it’s our moral, ethical and religious responsibility to include our brethren, who are not able to celebrate the festival, in our Eid joys.

The Freedom Party chairman further said, “Apart from poor and needy, we must remember the families of our martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for a greater and noble cause – for our future and those families whose dear ones are languishing in dark prisons and express our solidarities with them. Islam lays much emphasis on social welfare and there is priceless reward for such people from the Almighty Allah. We’re immensely indebted and grateful to the families who sacrificed their loved ones and whose dear ones are sacrificing for the sake of Islam and nation.” (KNS)
