Says communal forces bent to add fuel to fire in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 03 (KNS): Reacting against the Abhibav Gupta Sheshadri named organisation’s demand of starting a yatra to a local cave in Beerwah, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Friday said some communal forces are bent to add fuel to fire in Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said there is no historical significance of the said cave as claimed by the so-called group. “The move by communal elements is obviously aimed at creating yet another controversy in the already burning state,” he said.
Citing the court judgment in this regard, Shah said the court after going through all the proofs and witnesses has rejected the petition of the appellant by declaring there is no historical or religious significance of the cave.
“A saint Hazrat Miyaan Shah Sahib (RA) used to pray in this cave. His grave is an open proof. Now, it is clear that the demand to declare the cave for yatra is aimed at launching yet another cultural and religious aggression,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The DFP chairman made it clear that Kashmiris, as in past, will never let the communal elements succeed in their wicked plans. He warned the state government of serious repercussions if any approval is granted to the demand of the so-called organisation. “The situation will go out of control then,” Shah warned.
Shah said history is witness that Kashmiris have always favoured communal harmony and brotherhood but “to give rise to new controversies in the garb of such baseless stories is intolerable for us”.
The pro-freedom leader accused the state government of giving an open deal to communal forces saying the innocent peaceful protestors, on the other hand, are showered bullets. “This only shows how coward this government is,’ he said.
“Also, if government continues with its policy of establishing the Sainik colony, Pandit colony, and the Industrial Policy, it would be responsible for the aftermath,” Shah warned. (KNS)
