Former Minister and General Secretary JKPCC Shabir Ahmed Khan has expressed concern over the damages due to floods in various parts of district Rajouri and demanded immediate assessment and relief to the people.
In a statement issued to KNS, Khan demanded that immediate steps be taken to survey the losses to the private and public property and release of adequate funds for the purpose. He regretted that victims of last year’s floods and rains have not been given adequate relief and large no of deserving people have been deprived of the required financial assistance as the state and centre have failed to provide the desired funds.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Khan also expressed serious concern over the erratic power supply in the area and the power cuts have been causing great hardships to the people. He said that the burnt and damaged transformers are not repaired and replaced for weeks together causing lot of hardship to the people.
He criticized the government and the authorities and urged them to wake up to the situation and take up the issues on priority. (KNS)
