Srinagar, Oct 31 (KNS): Around seven civilians were injured in an explosion, which police said it is investigating how it happened, at Ganjiwada near Acchabal bus stand in Anantnag district of south Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.
According to KNS correspondent, the blast occurred at 3:10 this afternoon. All the seven civilians are believed to be hit by shrapnels after the blast.
The injured have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Ganaie of Manghall, Manzoor Ahmad of Dialgam, Junaid Ahmad of Shirpora Anantnag, Tawseef Ahmad of Manghall Anantnag, Shahid Ahmad of Mir bazaar Anantnag, Naseema Bano and Tariq Ahmad, both from Heaven colony Anantnag.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment.
SP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar told KNS that it was not a grenade explosion, but some low impact blast.
“We are investigating as to how the explosion occurred,” he said. (KNS)
