Srinagar, Jun 13 (KNS): The Crime Branch has registered a case against a senior advocate who is allegedly involved in presenting fraud documents in the court.
According to sources, Ghulam Nabi Dar, a senior advocate from Maisuma presented fraud documents of disputed land in the court. “He had issues with his neighbour over the land and provided the fraud documents in the court,” sources said.
He said that his neighbour, Hafiz-ur-Rehman, son of Muhammad Yousuf Var filed complaint under number CRM/M-1651/2016/3601-3602 in Crime Barnch against the advocate on March 1st who in his complaint has said that he has brought a house in Maisuma area under Khasra number 467/14. “I have completed the process of buying the land and house in a proper way but soon after buying it, an advocate Ghulam Nabi Dar claimed that he is the owner of the said property and prepared a fraud documents which he later presented before the court,” he said in a complaint.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sources said that the documents provided by advocate in the court were fraud as per the revenue documents.
A senior official told KNS that a case has been registered against advocate Ghulam Nabi Dar under section, 467, 420 and 471 RPC. “The department has appointed Assistant Sub-Inspector, Muhammad Din as Investigating Officer in this regard while an FIR was also registered on 29 March of this year under number 16,” official said.
He said that the investigation in this regard is ongoing and strict action will be taken against the persons if found guilty. (KNS)
