Srinagar, Jan 18 (KNS): The secretary Tourism and floriculture Farooq Ahmad Shah on Wednesday held a meeting with Jammu Tourism Federation in his office chamber at Jammu secretariat to discuss the different promotional plans for promoting Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the Jammu Tourism Federation was lead by its president Rajesh Gupta who was accompanied by the executive members of the federation.
The statement reads that in this important meeting the modalities for organizing the road shows in Ludhiana and Amritsar were discussed to attract the tourists from the neighboring state of Punjab which can turn into a big potential market for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah shares with the travel trade that Jammu Kashmir has immense and diverse tourism potential in all its regions and each region has a capacity to be promoted as an independent destination likewise Jammu can be promoted as an independent tourism destination and the former Late chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed believed and promoted Jammu as an independent tourism destination.
The secretary assured the federation that Jammu will be laced with the standard quality tourism infrastructure for the facilitation of tourists visiting this temple city and Jammu will be promoted for unconventional tourism products like Golf, Adventure, border tourism, yoga and heritage tourism as well the secretary again recollected the vision of Mufti Mohammad Syed to make Jammu Kashmir as one of the best Tourism destination in the country.
