Second leg of motorcycle expedition undertaken by BRO commences from Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 24 (KNS): The second leg of a motorcycle expedition, undertaken by border roads organisation (BRO), as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebration started from srinagar today.

The 13 member expedition team was received at HQ 2 Sector RR at Wuzoor by where they were given a grand welcome and interaction with army personnel was carried out.

The motorcycle expedition was flagged off by defence minister Rajnath Singh on October 14 from New Delhi. With 75 BRO, Indian Army, and GREF troops, the team will cover a distance of approximately 20,000 km and will pass through various states and UTs across the country. 

The soldiers will meet with locals, school children, gallantry award winners, ex-servicemen, and Veer Naris, and conduct medical camps as well as spread awareness about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and road safety. (KNS)
