Jammu, Apr 3 (KNS): J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee (SECC) Chairman, Ghulam Rasool Mir Sunday expressed dismay and disappointment over the non inclusion of key employees’ demands like, cadre review /Career Progress, removal of long pending pay anomalies DA release, enhancement of Danbar TA, TMA, MA and refreshment charges, revival of LTC, reduction in qualifying service, in Appropriation Bill passed by the State Administrative Council as commitment given in pre budget discussion held under chairmanship of the then Finance Minister on the directions of the then Chief Minister late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said that during Goverrnor's rule Darbar Move Employees suffered a lot as not a single issue has been addressed even though assurance.
“First time Darbar Move Employees have not been provided ration since implementation of NFSA. Another big problem was lack of security in the residential colonies of employees even some employees were injured by goons and government remains silent during this short rule,” he said.
He said that these are the employees who are working day and night for government to give them success but when the genuine issues remain unaddressed so how come regime is treated as success.
Mir wondered how the present dispensation sideline such crucial issues of working class when it decided on a policy issue like Mediclaim concerning around three lakh employees of the State in a hush manner.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Employee unions have already sounded caution and reservations about the implementation of the Medi claim policy,” Mir said, adding that in several meetings with the Government functionaries CSECC along with other employees Unions had given many suggestions to the Government for effective implementation of the policy, if at all it is to be implemented properly.
Among others, the suggestions included, invite tenders, enlistment of all major and reputed hospital chains within the ambit of the policy, all dependents of an employee to be covered under the policy, enhancement of the sum assured, inclusion of all diagnostic tests and OPD charges and reimbursements besides cash back facility.
Mir appealed Chief Minister designate, Mehbooba Mufti to provide succor to the suffering working class of the State.
He hoped that provision for career /Cadre review of NG employee on the anonology of IAS/KAS cadre DA release, enhancement of Move TA. TMA, LTC, qualifying service and provision of implementation of 7th Pay Commission would be made in the budget of the next government.
This was promised by the then Chief Minister Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and then Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu who has been found all along employee friendly. (KNS)
